IT support for Medium-sized businesses

Medium businesses can become much more complex, with IT support requirements that can be anything from just as simple as a small network (just a larger number of users) to immensely complex. Medium businesses make up the majority of our client base.

Microsoft Office is still the core application being used - the same as the vast majority of businesses across the UK - alongside a number of bespoke systems; be they Customer Relationship Management (CRM) packages, complex accounting systems or stock management programs.

Between 20 and 100 users, there may be more than one office and therefore a requirement for one office to connect seamlessly with the other; where the servers are. Modern communication links mean it is no longer necessary for each office to have its own server environment. A suitable DSL link allows satellite offices to work as if they are part of the main office.

This number of users will require multiple servers to ensure performance and productivity from the network.

Enterprise It calculates the appropriate support level using three factors: the number of users, the complexity of the computer network and the current stability situation; large complex networks with a number of current problems will require a much higher support level than a 25 user network based on two servers and with few current problems. Current medium-sized clients vary from monthly on-site maintenance days (what we call Rotation Days) to weekly Rotation Days.

Our Ent 1: Ent 2:& Ent 3: Support services provide our medium-sized clients with a fixed-cost fully-supported IT environment that allows them to achieve their goals within their business. Again we are happy for our clients to move within support levels to suit their needs. The only proviso being that we are still able to provide the support needed to keep the network stable and per formative.
